My name is Ernie McElrea, Owner of Kawartha Lakes Appraisal Inc. I have been a real estate appraiser based in Lindsay, Ontario since 1988. I hold the CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) and P.App (Professional Appraiser) designations from the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Since being granted the CRA designation in 1994, I have re-certified seven times within the Appraisal Institute’s Continuing Professional Development Program. I am currently re-certified through December 2025.

During the past 36 years, I have developed a thorough working knowledge of local market conditions within the City of Kawartha Lakes (former Victoria County) and bordering areas. I have appraised over 11,000 residential properties since 1988.

My background includes an honours degree in Economics as well as 6 years spent as a real estate salesperson.
